Chinese singer Yu Shuqin held an concert of traditional Chinese and Western songs recently in Melbourne. Chinese Council General Shi Weiqiang presented the concert.

Included were songs by Handel, Mozart and Chinese songs ‘Swallow’, ‘Alamuhan’ and ‘Song of the Yangtze River’. She explained the lyrics of the Chinese songs and compared the difference in style of Chinese and western songs.
