From February 2 to 4, 2011, a delegation of 14 from the Chinese Writers Association(CWA) led by Mr. Gao Hongbo, Vice Chairman of CWA, paid a visit to Melbourne. During their visit, the delegation attended the 26th Melbourne Writers Festival and the 3rd Melbourne Chinese Writers Festival.

The delegation is the largest for years. Among the members are the 2011 Maodun Literary Awards winners Mr. Zhang Wei and Mo Yan. Zhao Mei and Xu Xiaobin are the winners of Luxun Literary Awards. Zhaxidawa and Zhao Mei are well-known Chinese minority writers.
