Year of Chinese Culture in Australia 2011 - 2012

"Experience China"——The Year of Chinese Culture in Australia (the "YCCiA"), the largest series of cultural events initiated by the Chinese Government in Australia to date, consists of a series of cultural activities ranging from performing arts projects, visual arts exhibitions to film festivals.

Experience China was launched on 10 February 2011 at the Chinese Embassy in Australia.Veiw Online The opening performance and the closing performance were presented respectively in June 2011 and June 2012 in Sydney. During the year, nearly 100 events were held in Australia, aiming at strengthening the friendly relations between Australia and China as well as promoting the mutual understanding between the two peoples, showcasing the gems of China’s traditional as well as contemporary culture to present a panoramic picture of China to the Australian people.

With the Year of Chinese Culture in Australia having drawn to a successful close, this website will serve as an information platform to showcase and introduce many exciting upcoming Chinese and bilateral cultural projects. See our Calendar and Events for details.
