The wave of Chinese culture reaching
the climax
After 120 advertising light-boxes set in downtown Sydney, 100 hunderd colored flags with the logo and
poster designs of the Year of Chinese Culture(YCC) are fluttering along
the streets in Sydney from mid June. Afterwards 80 screens have been placed in the
local communities to play a 30-second advertising film on the YCC for 50 times per
day. What's more, the advertisement of the YCC displayed at the Sydney Kingsford Smith international airport
and also printed in Qantas magazine, making the YCC known to a lot more local people and
international tourists.
On June 24, Legend of Shangri-La will be
staged in the State Theatre in Sydney, which marks the official opening of the YCC.
Before the curtain-up, Chinese culture has come into focus for the first time
on an unprecedented wide range in Australia.
