Wind of Colorful Guizhou Shows in Sydney
22 February 2012, the culture show ‘Wind of
Colorful Guizhou’ of songs and dances of ethnic minorities in Guizhou, a southwest
province of China famous for the diversity of ethnic groups, is on in State
Theater, Sydeny. The show presented the variety of ethnic minorities’ culture
to the Australian audience as part of the Year of Chinese Culture in Australia.

Thousands of audience attend the show to enjoy the different culture. The audiences are
impressed by the artists’ beautiful costumes and their wonderful dances and
songs. They were thrilled when the girls presenting the famous local product the
Chinese liquor Maotai to them while singing songs for toast.

Wind of Colorful Guizhou is a large scale
performance of Guizhou folk songs and dances that show the customs of Guizhou
ethnic minorities including Miao, Buyi, Dong, Yi, Gelao, Shui and so on.
Some of the performances have won national
awards and are regarded as art treasures. This show is well received and has
great attendance in China, Europe and Southeast Asia.
The show also tour Melbourne, Willington
and Auckland after the Sydney show.
