On 21 March, Ambassador Chen Yuming met with Mr. Tian Jianhua, CEO of the XDR Cultural Promotion Pty Ltd, the presenter of Australian tour of the Last Emperor, an exquisite balletic retelling of China's Last Emperor’s life. Minister Counsellor KE Yasha was present at the meeting.

Ambassador Chen noted that XDR’s efforts to presenting Australian audience such a wonderful stage performance will help foster a better understanding of Chinese arts as well as China’s culture and history in Australia.

The Last Emperor, choreographed by Ivan Cavallari with the Liaoning Ballet, is a key project of the Year of Chinese Culture in Australia. It will tour in Australia from June to July. Audience in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle and Sydney will have the opportunity to enjoy the splendid performance from China.
